Patience is a virtue

This weekend has not been fun, although it's been nice to see DaddyDave and Lin.  We've been at home, supposedly decorating but making very little progress due to the odd construction of our house - the walls look like hardboard pieces which don't line up nicely and now we've stripped the wallpaper they're even more ropey.  Added to this has been the frustration that we can't go out in Harry to escape.

Thankfully he's booked in at the garage in the week to get a good service and the front brakes checked and then all being well we'll be able to go away next weekend.  DaddyDave is going to try and take him to the garage on Tuesday, fingers crossed!  I would love to go to the Bedford CF meet next weekend, but am not sure if we'll manage it and may try him with somewhere closer instead.  We're on the look out for a copy of the AA Book of the Car that someone has recommended as a good start to learning about how Harry works so that we can gain some confidence to try and fix Harry ourselves.  Pauly's going to take a look at the fridge to see if he can get that working at some point too.

I was reading some posts on the Bedford site this morning.  It's scary what some of them look like when people take a proper look!  I dread to think how many holes Harry may have hidden beneath the surface.  He's a fair few rust and rotten bits that we can see, let alone beneath everything tucked away.  At the moment though I think it's easier not to know about it and remain a little bit ignorant.

In the meantime, Pauly's become very popular and has a good excuse not to move....
